Students
Greetings as we near this Lenten season! I am writing to invite you and your families to take part in a journey to help those in Kenya during this season of Lent. As you know, Jesus’ very first message in the Gospels is often translated as “convert”. It is actually a Greek word “metanoia” which means “change” or “take a different path or direction.” I invite you and your school community to join me on a Lenten path in support of the poor we serve in Africa.
Below is a Lenten Journey Sheet that can be duplicated for students, classroom teachers and families so that they can track any offerings made toward our African projects. As you can see on this sheet, a little bit of money goes a long way towards improving the lives of those less fortunate!
Knowing there are so many charities, projects and requests for funds, I humbly request that you consider Journey: The Ed Colina Foundation. I would be happy to provide you with further information or you may visit our website and sign up for our monthly eNewsletter at www.edcolinafoundation.org .
Please consider offering this simple project as an option to classroom teachers, school groups or clubs. You may even decide to distribute or email to your school families.
Thank you for your consideration and best wishes during this holy season.
Sincerely,
Ed
