Measuring for Preschool Uniforms

Measuring for Preschool Uniforms

Today Mwololo and I traveled to the ECDE Center to oversee the measuring of students for new school uniforms for the start of school in January. The students were very excited, most of the little ones this was their first uniform and probably first time for a new piece of clothing. Mwololo went on and checked on the other two sites for measuring uniforms.

Again, we supply uniforms for 64 in the preschool and 155 for children in other schools whom we sponsor.  I think that is really impressive and it is able to be done because of generous donors, especially the Florence Kentucky Rotary.

I also visited the women who are doing bead work at the manyatta and took some pics. On Monday Fred and I purchase more beads and we have a 12:30 teachers meeting – as the school year is ending.

Tuesday I renew my Kenyan Visa downtown.  I will have been here three months on the 20th and that is the limit.  After that, you can renew for an additional three months . . . . for another $50.  The renewal process is agonizingly slow, six lines to maneuver through.  At the end they finger print you and you spend the rest of the day walking around Nairobi with black palms.
